Quote Of The Week

Einstein On Persistence:

"It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer."

Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist and philosopher who revolutionized physics with his theory of relativity and the equation E=mcΒ². His work is considered the foundation of modern physics, alongside quantum mechanics. Einstein won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for explaining the photoelectric effect. He also made significant contributions to quantum theory and statistical mechanics.

Word Play Of The Week

"Break a Leg"

"Break a leg" is theater-speak for good luck. Today, it's used not only before a perfomance on stage, but for anytime anyone may need some luck, like before a presentation at work.

Ancient Greece could be to blame, where performers would bow (or β€œbreak”) their legs at the end of a successful show. Perhaps Elizabethan England is the culprit, where audiences would stomp their feet (or legs) to show appreciation for an outstanding performance. Or a Yiddish phrase could have been the influencer. ~ Source
